Ballykisteen Hotel/Golf Resort

A large group of us, including kids, came for the Sunday carvery. Despite the fact that the place was packed, we managed to find a table for the group as well as a table for the kids. The staff were great and were patient with all the children.

The carvery was good as well. There is a cold meat/salad station as well as the expected hot meat station (lamb, chicken, salmon) with all the trimmings. Nothing will knock your socks off but it was good tasty fare.

Bar service was also efficient and friendly.

A good visit!

This is a review of our recent visit to the Hotel and specifically the bar. We dropped in for dinner and ordered from the bar menu.
We sat for about 20 minutes and had to go to the bar to order food.
The waitress came and didn't know what the soup of the day or what the roast was.
Waited another 30 minutes and the waitress arrived with the main course and no starter. We asked about our starter and then we were basically asked did we want our soup and main course served together.
We obviously asked for the main to be returned until we had finished our soup starter.
During the meal I dropped up to the bar and ordered a Peroni beer they had on draft. The bar person had to ask where it was.
We ordered a kids main + ice cream, two soup starters and main course (€15) and three pints of draft Beer and were charged €74, a second waitress apologised for the service saying staff were not properly trained but for this price I would expect a lot more. The food was ok nothing exceptional but the service is terrible here with tables left Uncleaned for long periods and spoke to a number of people who also complained about the overall poor service in the bar area.
