Came through this station a few times during my stay in London. The Elizabeth line from Heathrow ends here as does the Heathrow express. National Rail also leaves from here.
The Heathrow express is a 15 minute train from the airport. It's a bit pricey at $45 a ticket, so my preferred transportation from Heathrow is the Elizabeth line. Trains leave every 30 minutes and the price is roughly $15 per person. Apple pay is accepted or you can use a credit card that has contactless payment and just tap and go. In 25 minutes, you can be at Paddington Station.
The Station is one of the largest with excellent signage and beautiful architecture. It's clean and easy to navigate. It has an open air concept with plenty of places inside to get something to eat while you wait or you can walk across the street and find some good pubs.Helpful 12Thanks 0Love this 11Oh no 0 - 19 dic 2023
I found the Paddington station very easy to ride into and ride out of. I took the Heathrow express from the airport into the Paddington station and then took an Uber from here to the hotel and it was very fast. Tall time was under 40 minutes or an Uber from the airport. Would've took an over an hour easy clean, and do it again.

I'm a fan of the Heathrow Express which jets between Paddington Station and Heathrow Airport every 15 minutes & the trip takes 15 minutes. This is my preferred method of transportation in/out when flying. (Tip: buy early online & save 75%)
The process itself is relatively simple. While some of the layout is odd, the signage is easy to follow. Patrons really struggle with picking a side & walking 6 across, meaning that you either have to give way regularly or brace for shoulder checks.
I like the open air concept and appreciate that it's within easy walking distance of numerous hotel/ dining options. (Micky's Fish & Chips, hello)
There are also decent concession options on site.
I imagine I'll continue using & recommending this station, specifically for the Express.
Be sure to hold on to your ticket, you'll scan it to get in & back out for each direction.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - 22 abr 2022
If you are riding around via train, you are going to go through this station in London at some point, especially from the Airport if you know what's good for you! It's clean and well-run and is easy to navigate with signage.
I came into this station from Heathrow via the express train from the airport to Paddington Station for about $45. I easily walked up and purchased my ticket at the airport from a kiosk and walked via the easy to follow signage to the correct area and waited about 8 minutes for the next train. Once at Paddington, I switched to another train and made it to my hotel. All for about $50 in 45 minutes instead of spending $150 on a taxi and sitting in traffic for two hours. No thanks!
I love the ease of inner city travel via train in London. It's great. Europeans have it figured out when it comes to that!
The station itself is large and has plenty of shopping and snacks to take care of you. I hadn't eaten in hours and grabbed a sandwich while here and looked at some shirts and sunglasses for the trip.

Paddington Train station is so convenient to get to from Heathrow London Airport. I flew into Heathrow airport and got tickets from the manual machine to get tickets for going and coming back. The total for that was about $50.00 per ticket to get to Paddington.
It is a super fast train which is only a 15-minute ride! So fast and super clean. Overall there are plenty of signs to help you find the Heathrow Airport on the floor of Paddington Station.
If you are lost though don't worry just ask someone and they will be able to help you!
I'm super sad though, I didn't realize there are statues of the Paddington bear around. Next time I will try to find it!! But a good option to get to other destinations as well.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - 7 may 2019
Like most large main train stations around Europe this the hub that connects you to the airport, regional trains, commuter trains and high speed trains that go around England.
Plenty of well placed sign boards that direct you to the trains and plenty of help points if needed. There is a lot of food and drink options here and of course some shopping as well.
If you intend to travel by train around England you will likely end up here at some point. The Heathrow to Paddington express also starts and terminates here.
It can be extremely busy so give yourself extra time just in case you have to walk around looking for your platform or to get from the tube to the main line train station.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 3 dic 2018
I've been to London multiple times for business but have typically stayed near the airport. This time around I had to go to Wales which was an adventure to say the least. The train was the most affordable and practical option when planning my trip.
After taking the Heathrow Express to Paddington, I got off and was immediately overwhelmed by the sheer number of people filling this train station. Its a pretty busy hub, especially for those heading over to Wales but its pretty straightforward to navigate and is also close to the Tube.
If you are flying into and out of Heathrow and are taking the train from anywhere in the UK, the fact that the Express runs out of the station means you can get to the airport in 30 mins which is faster and cheaper than a taxi.
They have an information desk which is well staffed and extremely helpful. If you are unsure how best to get to central London, or catch a connecting train the staff at the desk are lovely.
The station is clean, has a lot of food options (M&S, McDonalds, Bagels, pizza and coffee) as well as shopping if you are waiting to catch your train.
I have whittled many an hour at Paddington drinking coffee, having a sandwich and buying cards and chocolates for friends.
If you are riding in first class, the GWR has a small first class lounge with free wi-fi and a clean bathroom. I sometimes will buy a first class ticket that may depart an hour later but is half the price and will spend my time checking emails and having free snacks in the lounge.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 18 jul 2016
Very airy and easily navigated station with many information boards conveniently located throughout the station made finding our platform easy.
Multiple fast and fresh dining options and a pharmacy (thank you Jesus) supplied our last-minute needs for diet cokes and headache tablets :)
We enjoyed traveling from this station on our way to Wales. When the Tube reconnects here, it will be double convenient.

How do you review a train station?
The station is large and very clean. I love that fact that the staff was very helpful. The station also has color coded tape on the ground to lead you to your train. There are plenty of monitors to keep you informed of the next trains arriving and departing.
Note: Bring change if you have to use the restroom. Using the bathroom requires money.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - 3041508449218 may 2018
We arrived here via the Heathrow Express, our very first day in London. We had no clue as to what to expect once the train arrived, but we knew that we would need a taxi to get to our airport.
The train itself was fast and easy - I don't know why people would opt for a taxi or car service when the train is always there!
Once we got to Paddington, we gathered all our luggage and tried to figure out the signage. It was super easy to understand, and it was made even easier by the color-coded lines on the ground. We found the line for "Taxis" and followed that from the tracks to the front of the station, and got ourselves a black cab for the short trip to the hotel.
We did come back through Paddington Station late one night, while I was on the hunt for the bear. How could I not visit THE BEAR? His statue is easy to find, if you're familiar with the stories. Situated right below the clock on platform 1 - right where the Brown family first found him - is the cutest little statue you'd ever want to see! I promptly went to town taking a ton of pictures of and with him, and left feeling a little silly but immensely pleased that I had spent some time with him.
Such a cute little bear. Such a great little station!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
