First in and last out... this was an epic dining experience. We did the chefs menu and it was so delicious and very special. I was not a big fan of the tiramisu- a different style for sure- but the chef noticed and sent another dessert and let me tell you- it was EPIC! Shaped like a little small round soft cheese with rind, but was a cheese cake- and a really good one too. We happens to be there during white truffle season so had some of those shave on pasta dish- wine pairing were spot on and the sommelier was especially informative about regions -we did the wine pairing. A very special place and experience.

Very disappointing for a Michelin star restaurant. Service was mediocre (ordering a cocktail seemed like an ordeal and three out of four of us were ignored and their orders weren't taken until we flagged down a busboy) and the meat course which was the last one was completely unacceptable. The rib eye was carved table side but what was served to half of our party was full of cartilage, unrendered fat and half of the pieces were inedible. The ravioli and the desserts were the salvageable parts of the meal.

Is this the innovation in the 135€ menu?

Ristorante del cambio is a 1 Michelin star establishment that has been around since 1757, and served the likes of Beethoven and Victor Hugo. The main dining room is absolutely beautiful and reflects the 1700s time period; this room has been restored over the years to maintain its originality and style. Eating in this room felt like I had traveled back in time. For food, the restaurant offers a la carte and a few tasting menus. We went with the La Tradizione tasting menu, and personally I loved it. The restaurant sources local food products which lends to its showcasing of the Piedmontese cuisine and culture The quality of the food was superb and the artistry of it added to the cool factor. Having eaten so much bread on our trip, we were surprised when our waiter brought out a basket of multicolored rice crackers of different flavors (squid ink, brussel sprouts, etc) - it was amazing to look at as it was fun to eat. The other dishes that followed were delicious and fun as well. We also shared a bottle of Barbera d'alba by Aldo Conterno which perfectly complemented our meal. As the meal slowly came to an end, we asked our sweet waiter for the check, but did not realize the meal had not ended. Another round of desserts were brought out this time, and this was not on the menu. It was a lighter post meal dessert, which included a piece of gianduja (hazelnut chocolate), a little ice cream puff, and thinly sliced apple and orange chips. Definitely one of my most memorable meal I've ever had.

Del Cambio is a Michelin-starred restaurant in a beautiful and historic Torino building - if you have an affinity for beautiful food, I'd say it's a worthwhile splurge. One thing I don't think you get from the reviews on here is that you DON'T have to do the tasting menu! They offered three tasting menu options when I visited, all of which were over 100 euro. However, they also have a full a la carte menu, which (depending on how you order) means you can enjoy their beautiful dishes for considerably less. I went with the risotto con salvia (sage) and the vitello (the veal chop Milanese style to be exact). I didn't order wine because the prices are quite high and in my humble and uneducated opinion, you can get fantastic Italian wines for a song in Italy, so why break the bank? Both dishes were delicious, but for me the risotto took the cake. Between the two, I had way too much food and was stuffed to the gills - I normally wouldn't have ordered the veal chop, but I asked for the waiter's recommendation on what to pair with the risotto and decided to take it. I walked out paying roughly 73 euro, more than worth it for the experience I had.

In addition to the meal I ordered, I was also treated to lovely house made rice (and squash blossom and I believe a certain type of leaf) chips, an amazingly beautiful trio of amuse bouche, some kind of crisped bread in the shape of a maple leaf, the usual bread and breadstick array, and the most beautiful dessert trio I've ever seen. Let me emphasize, I did not order dessert! Del Cambio is just committed to you having a full experience I guess and should you not order dessert, you're treated to a petite trio of chocolate-based delights (chocolate-coated gelato spheres, tiny chocolate cakes, and gianduja candies). See pictures to better understand!

The service I had was spectacular, though they do leave you to enjoy your experience, so you won't be constantly fussed over. If you're in a hurry, don't be, my meal solo took a bit over two hours all said and done. The dress code is fine dining, but that being said, people were in a range of outfits. I wore a simple black shift dress and felt comfortable. Most men I saw were wearing casual suits with jackets. You can make a reservation by calling or emailing online; I did the latter and received a confirmation a few days following.

I think this is a must visit in Turin. In addition to the beautiful architecture and history of this particular restaurant, the food is amazing. In particular, this showcases a fine Italian food much more akin to a French preparation than you may be used to. You won't be served spaghetti and pizza - that's for sure. I have a fish allergy, and the staff were very helpful in preparing alternate courses. To be honest, I think I lucked out. The alternatives I was served were superior to the standard dishes in most cases. Finally, the staff is incredibly well trained and responsive.

      Tips:
      1. You should make a reservation. The website reservation system is not terribly good, so I recommend giving them a call. They have American employees on staff, so communication is no problem.
      2. There are two set menu options. (I think 7 and 11 courses if I'm not mistaken). I suggest going for the 7 course menu. Even with fewer courses and small portions, it's way too much food for the average person.
      3. There is a loosely followed dress code, so make sure to wear something nice. Also, the patio is great, but remember it can be very hot in summer months on the patio.

      What a wonderful place!
Everything is perfect here. The food is excellent and comes with several side dishes which are nicely explained by the waiter. Price for the main course was 31 EUR and together with the free extras this was enough to eat.

Good bucket list restaurant to visit, once. Food quality commensurate with price. Fantastic menu - each corner of the salad plate has a unique taste, best veal - don't chew it, it melts in your mouth. I can just afford it once.

Wow! This restaurant blowed my mind. The decor in the main room is spectacular and immerse in history, there is actually one modern room that didn't met my taste and i found one table (not ours) in an unfortunate spot. The service is top level, very professional but friendly. The food is to die for, very high quality ingredients, impeccable execution, fantastic presentation, perfect timing. The wine list can satisfy exigent palate... I wish my wallet was thicker to try some of the iconic bottles ... but I'm already saving for the next visit! The bar upstairs is the cherry on the pie to end the night in a very cool ambience with music and cocktails. If you are down for the top, don't miss it.
