Earls Kitchen + Bar

Everything was perfect ... Cajun blackened chicken was so good. ^^

I had a good time at Earls, we went early enough to get a table for four without having to wait for Sunday brunch. Our server was friendly and attentive.

Food was good, we tried the omlette, eggs benny and the chorizo hash. The potatoes were very good, crispy outside and soft inside very different from the traditional hash potatoes. Presentation was colorful and fresh, a good option around the downtown core.

The entrance is welcoming and it looks chic and modern with lots of fake greenery around. We went there for a Saturday brunch. The waitress was attentive and friendly.

The meal came out promptly as we both ordered the crab cake Benedict. A piece a toast under the crab cakes would have been nice. The star of the plate was the crab cakes - delicious!!! I could have ate more. The salad had a light dressing but it could be more fresh. The awesome discovery was their potato pavé which was amazing!! But sadly we only got six pieces. It's a cool concept to the tradition home fries at other brunch places.

Since it was my partner's birthday, even for brunch, he got a complimentary dessert - with a candle! That was nice of Earls. Thanks!!! He loved it!! A great start to our day!!

The food was good.
I requested the Jasmine rice and salmon...and i would request it again.
I ordered Sprite....it was watery, syrupy nd unappealing...next time please pass me a can...
Our server served well and was able to recommend dishes from the menu.
The Hunan Kung Pao was to die for!

There weren't many non alcoholic drinks, (not including sodas), to choose from. I replaced the Sprite with Lemonade and was duly satisfied.

Gayle and I arrived in Toronto (via Air Canada from St. John's) early, and after checking in at the Hilton, went for a walk. Airline food is what it is and by around 4 PM, we were ready "Linner". At it happens, this Financial District Earl's was just a short walk away.

Yet even at 4 PM, this Earl's was busy! The outdoor patio was packed from either an early happy hour or a pregame crowd for the Blue Jays vs. Astro game. We needed to wait a bit to get a table, but ended up with a nice one inside, but by an window.

I've always enjoyed the Earl's Canada business model with interesting dishes, nice wait staff, and a comfortable modern and reasonably priced vibe. This Earl's had all this, although service was a little uneven in spots and the background music was too loud. I was also a bit disappointed that a BC Gewurztraminer that was on the menu for years was no longer available.

My Chicken Bangkok bowl (picture) was excellent and went well with another white wine selection. I completely forgot what Gayle ordered, but I do remember that she really enjoyed it. And even with the noise and the buzz, our meal was a great opportunity to relax and plan our next couple days in Toronto.

Unnecessarily overpriced food. Truffle fries were good; our server was nice but did not leave me with the best impression.

As an Alberta boy, I'm very familiar with this chain but it has taken me a surprisingly long time to visit this location. Finally ended up here for an early dinner. The dining room wasn't open yet (it was a weekend) and while the bar didn't sound appealing, it was surprisingly comfortable.

Happy hour on a Saturday? Sold. With some good savings to boot. Great choices to get a bit of a discount off your bill.

Our server was incredibly friendly (if a bit forgetful) but relatively zero complaints out of our meal. Food tasted great.

Beautiful restaurant with great location within short walk to major venues. My girlfriends and I enjoyed our dinner, had great service and never felt rushed. Our waitress was very good. The Bangkok bowl was not bad.

Great food and a great patio to enjoy in the summer! The menu has plenty of great options to choose from. The Bangkok Bowl was delicious!

Nice atmosphere, manager is great, we loved her. Bit of a wait but it was game night, our bad. Def recommend. Good drinks and appys, but smaller menu than west coast. r
