1st off -- they are now located on Nimbus in Beaverton.

Anyway, I like the location. I like the environment & I like the staff. Especially the estheticians, they are EXCELLENT. I prefer to keep my selected therapy to myself but I would recommend that you ask for a "trial" or an example of every treatment before you buy. My procedure hurt more than I expected but was bearable.

My only other suggestion is that you learn to say no unless you want lots of treatments. Every time I visit, the sales pressure is ON.

I have been extremely disappointed in the customer service at this place. I purchased a tanning and skin treatment package and recently called to ask if I could convert my last two tans in the package to spray tans, and they refused, even when I offered to pay an additional fee. I explained that I was recently diagnosed with skin cancer and could not use the tanning beds, but they still refused. I realize it was my choice to buy the package, but I felt that converting two tans to one or two spray tans should not have been a big deal.

I also inquired about laser hair removal at the salon one day just to find out the price, and the employees practically chained me to the floor and forced me to sign a contract. I did not, but felt very uncomfortable by the high pressure, commission sales environment. Not an enjoyable experience at all!

I was so happy to hear this place finally got closed down! It's a joke.
      I'll cut to the chase:
      * The manager several years back, "Shar" or whatever, got busted for apparently skimming money off the books and putting small bogus charges on peoples cards.

      * Despite the fact that you may have just spent a huge amount of money on services, every freakin time you come in, someone will try to hard-sell you something! (I actually had to interrupt one guy in the middle of his shpeal by saying "What part of no thank you are you not hearing?")

      * The employees gossip within clear earshot of the customers.

      * The primo high powered tan beds are ALWAYS "down for maintanence" and they "kindly" offer you to tan in something of lesser power despite the fact that you PAID for a high power bed.

      * Their appointments are ALWAYS backed up!

      * Staff are rude and unprofessional.....and are staff there REQUIRED to be 20-something year olds gauded up to look like 55-year old Italian New Jersey bar-flys?? Ease up on the eyeliner, hairspray and man-tan, ladies.

Most of you don't know this about me as I've tried to keep a handle on it my whole life - I'm a hairy, hairy lady. Honestly, if I didn't pluck my eyebrows, I'd have just the one. If I didn't wax my upper lip, I'd have a mustache that would rival your Aunt Gertrude's. If I didn't shave my legs, let's just say I went camping once and now there's a photographer out there who things Bigfoot exists.

All that being said, I was out at my favorite tanning place a few weeks back and was waiting for my bed to open up. No, I'm not a tanning fanatic I just like to see some form of light that's supposed to mimic the sun once in a while. In Oregon, that's been a pretty tall order lately. Anyhoo the tanning place I go is half tanning place, half medi-spa. The manager knew I'd asked about laser hair removal a week prior and came up to me and said they were having a contest that day and she was going to make me an offer I couldn't refuse. I chuckled as she asked me which locations on my body I'd wanted the procedure done. I let her know I'd been looking into a Brazilian laser hair removal and one for under my arms if I liked how the Brazilian one turned out. She let me know she'd have an offer waiting for me when I got out of my bed. Long story even longer - she made me an offer I couldn't refuse for both my underarms and my lady-bits.

For those of you who don't know, there is a process involved even before you get zapped with a laser. You mush grow the hair in the area you wish to have treated for 2 full weeks then the day before the treatment, you can shave the area. The day before I shaved, I looked like a 1970's French Porn Star, it was unnerving. Too much? Yeah, it was for me too.

When I went in for the treatment, I was told by the front desk receptionist that they were going to do my underarms and only do a consultation for the other area. Oohhhh NO lady, I didn't just go through all of that for nothing! "There's no way you're not doing this whole thing today" I calmly but firmly let her know. Luckily the laser hair removal technician lady was up front and let me know that they'd run out of the numbing gel they generally use to do the procedure so they thought it might be a little too uncomfortable to do both areas. "Bring it on" was my response. After all, as my marine friends like to say "Pain is just fear leaving the body" - Hoorah!

Before the procedure even began, the laser technician lady let me know that she's tried to do this procedure with at least 4 other women that week and all of them cried and had to stop her. "Awesome" I thought, that doesn't make me nervous at all. So I braced myself when the laser was placed under my right arm and then... a little warm zap. I was almost disappointed that the pain wasn't even close to what I thought it should be. She finished both of my arms in less than 15 minutes. The other area - that took a little more time. And I did let out a more than audible "woohhoo" a few times when the laser zapped some of my most private areas, but all-in-all, it was nothing.

So now a little middle aged brunette lady officially knows parts of me much better than 90% of the men I've dated. This woman had me in more positions than the last Cirque de Soliel act I saw on OPB. Thank God I stretch everyday because that little lady worked me. The only thing missing from the experience was her yelling "who's your mommy!" Disturbingly enough, I was impressed.

The employees there have always been courteous and genuinly try to make your experience as pleasant as possible. And even though it's not the most comfortable thing to have done in the world, they do what they can to make a semi-awkward situation as comfortable as possible.

One point for you laser lady. And one procedure down, 7 more to go. Yeah, and I'm paying for this too. I must have a screw loose. Which way to the nearest Yoga studio?

As a former laser technician I want to point out the deceptive tv commercials for Forever Young. It appears that clients are losing large amounts of weight due to the Accent laser. The Accent laser can work but does not work on everybody and it most certainly does not create large amounts of weight loss. It can shrink fat cells but the results are not extreme. I have been to this laser center and I will agree that scam is the best word to describe them. People beware. They are money hungry people with no concern for people.

I have not received any services from this company, but I did interview for an Esthetician position and wanted to share my experience.

I am fresh out of beauty school and have been looking for a spa to get my foot in the door to gain more education and experience. I was delighted to see Forever Young didn't require prior spa experience.

To make a long story short: keep looking for a spa that will make an investment in your extended education and training.

The person who scheduled my interview showed up 15 minutes late to my interview in flip flops, sweatpants, a baggy t-shirt and a ponytail held with a scruchie. She made me feel over dressed and quite frankly embarrassed for their company. I asked more questions than she did and was turned off by the high turnover rate and lack of structure to their training. 12 hour days on a Saturday?? Clients appointments SOMETIMES get canceled?? "How would you handle another associate knocking on the door of your treatment room?"

Needless to say, I was offered the position, but asked for time to think about it. I made my decision and wanted to see if anyone else had a similar experience, so I checked yelp. Let's just say after all the clients who were not happy I politely called back and left a message to decline the offer. And after reading these reviews, I doubt she received my message. At least I did the polite and courteous act of returning the message. My conscience is clear.

I have never tried there med spa but there tanning is awful! The associates lie through there teeth.. They are usually rude or act as if the customer is a burden.... The beds are constantly dirty... I've been with them awhile and it has gone down hill. I always leave there unhappy but I'm stuck because I still have a lot of tans left there.

I would give this place a zero. First of all they always mess up your appt. When you do show up for your appt. be ready to sit around. Nothing starts on time. Last 5 appt. my wife sat around for 45 mins on average before they took her for her appt.. If you are getting lazer hair removal be ready to be burned. Last three appt. my wife came back with burns.

      Stay away from this place!!!!!!

If I could rate a 0 out of 5 stars I would in a heartbeat.

I have been a client of Forever Young/Club Tan's for nearly 7 years now. I bought a very large package consisting of several spa/beauty treatments (i.e. microderm, whole body laser hair removal, facials, etc.) and the largest tanning package available. If it were not for the ridiculously large package I had purchased (and paid off) I would not set foot in this facility ever again.

The service without a doubt has declined significantly over the past couple of years.

      CLUB TAN:
_The girls that have been hired to maintain the tanning portion of the premises (which is the only "treatment" I am able to get in for due to lack of sufficient scheduling on Forever Young's end) are rude, unprofessional, and lazy. On every occasion I have come in there is a new employee working, making a professional relationship impossible to make. The individuals that I do recognize can never seem to remember my name (AFTER 7 YEARS!).
_The girls openly gossip, which personally I find to be very tacky and completely unprofessional, not to mention absolutely unacceptable in the presence of a client - this would never fly in any respectable business place.
_More often than not they are out of clean hand towels due to laundry piling up - I have learned to ALWAYS bring my own.
_The phones are usually ringing off the hook creating a very tense/anxious environment.
_The waiting area is unkempt (leaves/dirt cover the tile floor, lights are often flickering or burnt out, garbage scattered around the waiting area and spilling over the trash bins behind the front desk, etc.).
_The tanning beds are seldom serviced, every high pressure bed (and yes, I have tried them all) has broken at least once - one in particular: "The Matrix" (ironically the newest bed) usually has at least 1 burnt out bulb which I am never informed about prior to my tanning session starting.
_The beds are not sufficiently disinfected between clients - I have almost laid in dried sweat at least 5 times.
_I have, on several occasions had to wait 45+ minutes to tan when I have been advised of a lesser wait time - and have even been cut in line.

      FOREVER YOUNG:
Now lets address the "spa" portion!
_it is near impossible to schedule anything due to over-booking/insufficient scheduling -- if on the off chance I am able to set an appointment come the day of I am usually left waiting 30 minutes to an hour after my scheduled appointment time (without the courtesy of being offered any sort of refreshment, update on how far behind they are running, or being given the option to reschedule -- over all, horrible customer service) since they are 100% of the time running behind this causes my treatment to be half-assed and rushed.
_Like the tanning portion, there is always a new technician doing my treatment therefore I have to explain in detail what it is I am looking to change/accomplish as a result to "X" treatment, since it is not clearly noted in my chart.
_The majority of the techs are inexperienced, and it shows -- On one occasion I left with visible post laser hair removal burns as a result of one such inexperienced individual who incorrectly adjusted the laser settings (too high for the pigment of my skin) and who informed me after I had voiced my discomfort during the treatment that "this is how the treatment is supposed to feel". This is just one horrific experience I have encountered.

Due to the lack of trust I have in the competency of the technicians I will not be scheduling anymore treatments of any kind, and would not recommend anyone to do so -- what a waste of time and money that I have invested. That being said, nearly a month ago I had inquired that my existing spa treatments be turned into tans since this is the only service I feel somewhat comfortable continuing. The corporate office was supposedly emailed about this -- I have been in on several different occasions and have asked every time if a resolution has been made -- the answer has always been "I don't know".

I feel my well-being is being put "on the back burner" - so to speak - and forgotten completely. Yes, I may be high maintenance - but when I pay high quality prices I expect nothing less than HIGH QUALITY SERVICE which I have in no way, shape, or form received from this facility.
