This is the first time I've gone to a centre de formation for a haircut, and I was really nervous before. It's a bit intimidating - I was placed on a chair in front of about 10 'stagiaire' hairdressers who took notes as the man cut my hair, so no chance to read a magazine or a book while it's being done! It only took about an hour, all told, so that was good. HOWEVER, he didn't give me at all what I asked for. I was very clear about what I wanted (my French isn't the problem), and I even brought a ton of photos with me beforehand. I expressly said that I wanted it carré (straight cut) and not dégradé (layering/feathering), and I ended up having a long, sweeping, feathered fringe. This is the problem: the cut isn't bad, but my wishes were completely ignored. As it's free, however, you feel like you can't really complain. Just bear in mind that you are there to be a model and they will do whatever they want to do with you! It seems like a dégradé cut is pretty much obligatoire there as well. I wouldn't go back, I got a very 90s feel from the whole place - so if you fancy a 90s style haircut, this is your place. If you want something 2015, don't go here!

Update: I regret going here so much and am still waiting for the horribly short layers he cut in to grow out so I can do something with my hair! :(
