Fuji Express Apex

Fuji Express is a Little Japanese Cuisine which does not serve Sushi or Sashimi even though that is what is advertised, it is clearly painted on the door and printed on their menu.

Counter person was quickly hostile and offended when I unknowingly tried to order sushi and sashimi from the menu.

She suggested strongly that I try at some other restaurant.

Curiously Little Hospitality or Joy is present at this restaurant which claims to be Japanese Cuisine.

Good food, prepared fresh and quickly, a clean, no frills place. Good prices and service. A good food value and tasty.
A great place to drop in for a quick lunch or for a takeout. We will patronize again.

The customer service is horrible. I called once and ordered, but was told that the menu has changed. Instead of sharing what my options are since they have a small menu, she said go online and call back. CLICK.

I decided to give them another chance. I called at 7:45 and was asked if I could be there in 15 minutes. I said no as I was 20 minutes away and saw that they closed at 8:30. She didn't address that the information was wrong she said so can you be here in 15 minutes. I said no and then CLICK!

The food is ok, but I just can't believe how rude the staff is.

The flavor and quality is great! Perfect for good cheap dinner. Meat is tender and has awesome flavors.

Tempura they give you tons of. The white sauce and tempura sauce is a little sweeter than normal but still tastes good!

Very sweet lady working checkout. Can tell they are authentic Japanese. Support this business! Try it out if you crave some good hibachi!

Had the udon soup too. All the cabbage is really awesome in most dishes!

For quick Japanese hibachi style, this is your place. I used to travel from Garner to eat here. Linda and her family always take amazing care of us as customers. The food is always very tasty and Linda will always go the extra mile to take care of her customers. If you're in the mood for take out, or a quick and casual meal - check out Fuji. You will note be disappointed.

Great items to order:
* Teriyaki chicken/steak (you can get brown rice which is really amazing)
* The ginger dressing - I could eat this on its own - it is aammmaaazziiinnnggg. They're constantly running out.
* Atsui chicken - spicy and lots of flavor

This is my favorite hibachi place in town! Employees are extremely nice with great customer service! And last time I was there I got a free meal! Definitely recommend!!!

Hey! This place is a very simple order at the counter "japanese hibachi " place.

They have sushi, hibachi, teriyaki, udon, and a few generic chinese dishes (around 5). This is not a chinese restaurant.

I've gotten the chicken hibachi here twice, and it's been very tasty. just the right amount of veggies and chicken with great flavour. You can tell the veggies are fresh and the chicken is white meat. The service is great - the two ladies who work there are really nice and accommodating.

I've had their salmon roll with avocado before. It was not bad. The rice wasn't the best sushi rice I've ever had, but from what you expect from a place like this, it's above average.

They are also very fast - which is great for a weekday lunch.

Updating my review to add two caveats:

1. Dinner is better than lunch - maybe they have a different crew cooking lunch vs dinner?

I have been twice for lunch and the first time the chicken fried rice tasted nothing like it does at dinner. It was relatively flavorless, the rice tasted under cooked, and it didn't look like it had been fried like it does at dinner.

The second time I went for lunch I got an avocado roll and it was poorly made (falling apart at the seams) and the rice was way too wet. This leads me to my second caveat...

2. If you are getting an avocado roll - get the 8 piece with the rice on the outside. You get more avocado and for some reason it just tastes better all around!

All in all, I still love Fuji but ONLY FOR DINNER.

Dinner rating would still be a 5 star, Lunch would be a 2 star. I am erring on the side of dinner which I couldn't do without and giving it a 4.

This place offers horrible customer service! I tried to ask a question and was rudely talked over twice and referred to the menu. The answer was not on the menu, which is why I asked.

I've been eating here since I was in high school when they first opened, and I love the food here. Great for what you pay and the employees are very friendly.

There is one woman in particular who is so attentive and personable. You can tell she really genuinely cares about the people who come in. I have been living in Atlanta for five years now, and when I come back to visit she always remembers my order exactly!

I highly recommend this place!
