This friendly establishment has 24/7 desk staff and a cozy lounging area and bar. Rooms are comfy, cozy, and quiet. Breakfast is full on filling, and the view of a construction site across the street was a terrific photo. A budget hotel I was happy to be in.

These hotels are always pretty decent and really clean. Our beds weren't the most comfortable and the breakfast is never super great, but for the price, overall worth it

This was stop number 4 on our contiki module of Scotland. The hotel is modern and clean.
The bathrooms are like little pods (remind me of bathrooms on cruise ships but bigger). This was the best shower I've had since I've been in the UK.
The beds were twins for myself and my travelling buddy, they were narrower than standard twin beds but comfy.
The hotel is on/near a major pedestrian area and bars/restaurants. It's also across from a police station. However this didn't stop people from being super loud outside our room all night which was frustrating and part of why I only gave this place 4 stars (that and the super tiny beds).
Breakfast was good, standard, nothing special.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rich W.Phoenix, Estados Unidos733113 sept 2016
Nice hotel with basic ammenties. Unfortunately the noise from all the speed racers at 2a kept me up at night. The police nor the city cares about this issue
The hotel was generous enough to move our bags to another floor. If you do stay here get a room that doesn't face the street. Thank you to the GM Janice in doing everything but one star for the noise. Try to avoid this place unless your a street racer then race away.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 26 ene 2015
The second of the Ibis Hotels we stayed at while on our Contiki tour of England and Scotland, the Ibis Glasgow has identical rooms to its counterpart in Liverpool. There are no travel sized amenities, just the standard giant bottle of soap that serves as shampoo, body wash, and hand soap. Two bath towels are provided, no face or hand towels. There is a hair dryer provided, small flat screen TV, coffee and tea bar, along with a decent sized room. The bathroom still looks like a spaceship pod with a large shower. The furniture is standard cookie cutter. Free wifi is provided which is a huge plus. The queen bed was comfortable and the breakfast was standard English/Scottish breakfast. The hotel is just south of Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow and walking distance to the main shopping square. We were able to walk from the hotel to the Glasgow Cathedral in about 20 minutes. They have buses but if you can walk it and it isn't raining, why not? It's located next to a Novotel hotel.

For a spoiled yet frugal American Jet Setter, this is a GREAT deal for the amount of money you would spend. For about 60 Sterlings, I got a room here that was twice as large as another room that I had originally booked from a supposedly reputable chain.
My room had a contemporary restroom, a queen size bed, a desk with free wi-fi connection, and quite a bit of space to move around. (AND SO CLEAN!!) Since this hotel caters to a younger crowd, you could go downstairs to the kiosk for a midnight snack or simply walk a block to get your chippies or drambruies.
An interesting fact is that during my stay, one of the patrons had accidentally set off the fire alarm; he was smoking in his room, which was prohibited. Surely enough, at 3am, the whole hotel evacuated into the streets as the fire fighters came to check on the building. The great thing about this was the fact that the police department was directly across the street, so they were able to respond in literally seconds! So if you want to live in a safe and friendly neighborhood, this is the spot!
Another great thing is the location of this hotel; the bars/pubs and night life are only 2 blocks away, in the heart of Sauchiehall, which would save you a ton of transportation money.
I recommend everyone who is on a budget or wants to have more spending money, to come check out this very trendy and very friendly hotel.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Lindsay N.AB, Canadá324717 jul 2018
A few things:
1. This is truly a budget hotel. Nothing more, but nothing less. The staff are friendly enough, but clearly haven't been trained well in hospitality. I do think that they can prioritize a refurbishment on their uniforms, however. Their outfits seem to resemble those of fun run volunteers.
2. The rooms are more than basic; in fact a little bizarre. The shower is roughly 10 centimetres from the bed closest to the door and the sink is smaller than an average soup bowl. The toilet door doesn't lock (and barely shuts) and for a family room, I'd expect a more private shower door.
The beds aren't the most comfortable, but I've experienced worse. The pillows are rock hard, but not unbearable.
Any antonym of spacious would describe the square footage. For a room labeled to fit 3, I would think 1, maybe (just maybe) 2 would fit appropriately.
3. The location is beyond poor. A 15-20 minute brisk walk is required to get virtually anywhere. A chain coffee shop, a movie theatre and a bingo hall are not what I would consider fun tourist activities, especially in Scotland.
See what I mean? Painfully average for a budget hotel. Bells ring in my head when I hear the words ibis and budget, but both in the same phrase is certainly an alarm.
Would I recommend? The golden question here. Short answer, no. But I guess it's dependant on your reason for travel and financial situation.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rebecca W.Chandler, Estados Unidos02112 sept 2016
Average hotel with small rooms. The biggest negative is the street racing that occurs right outside the hotel rooms until the early hours of the morning. The hotel and police say this is an almost nightly problem. I would not feel safe walking around the neighborhood at night while the street racing (dozens of vehicles and men) is going on.

This is a good value hotel in a central area of Glasgow.
The location of the hotel makes it ideal for budget accommodation for a special night out on the town or for a major shopping spree!
It's just a short walk from lots of great restaurants and bars and around 10 mins walk from copious shops.
The rooms are basic but clean and the staff are friendly and helpful.
I would definitely stay here again!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kinda Invisible S.Snohomish, Estados Unidos1220115 ago 2014
This place is disgusting!! When we entered the room we immediately noticed a foul odor but the window was open and we thought it would clear quickly. Before going to dinner, we closed the window and headed out. We returned to a gagging odor of raw sewage. There is an obvious problem that we believe the management knows about (leaving a window open doesn't mask the issue!). No toiletries, bad odor, crummy service, less than good breakfast. Simply yuck - avoid!
