Ichi-Riki Sushi House

Ichi-Riki Sushi is an intimate sushi restaurant located in central London. Part of its charm is the entrance; a sign on the street guides you down around a dozen stairs into this unique gem. We went on a Friday night and were seated in 3 minutes. Kim was our server, he was wonderfully respectful and attentive. We ate salmon, tuna, white tuna (butterfish), octopus salad, sea bass, shrimp, miso soup, and chicken karaage. Everything was delicious and tasted fresh. The table's favorite was the shrimp and salmon nigiri. We have eaten sushi all over the world and Ichi-Riki will be remembered as one of our favorites due its unique setting and delicious food.

The place is small and the tables are uncomfortable to sit at. The rolls are small as well. Service is quick and polite. Fish itself is pretty good. I would stick to nigiri rolls next time. Unfortunately this time they didn't have either otoro or chutoro so I had to resort to a roll, of which two pieces were all tail and impossible to eat.

Very authentic, Japanese run sushi and sashimi restaurant, hidden away down a flight of stairs. Prices are actually pretty reasonable- quality is good, staff are kind, polite, and extremely efficient. For a fairly pared-back restaurant, they have quite a fancy website. Book through the chat function and they _will_answer.

Ichi-Riki is a quality sushi house in Victoria serving up fresh sushi and sashimi in a cozy and welcoming environment. It's a literal hole in the wall--you're guaranteed to walk right past the door unless you know exactly what you're looking for. The door opens directly to steps to the basement, where you'll eat in a medium-sized dining room of a couple tables right next to the sushi chef's open kitchen counter. The staff were very polite, and the food quality was high. Overall a nice experience, and we'd certainly visit again!

Very good sushi, very fresh and tasty. As others have stated, it is a very small restaurant (about 15 seats at tables and maybe 7 more at sushi bar). It is downstairs, basement level so you might walk right past it.

We each ordered a sunomono seaweed salad with eel that was delicious. We shared a large tempura shrimp roll (can't recall the name), a tuna and avocado roll and some hamachi sushi. It was all really good.

Service was prompt and friendly. If you are in the neighborhood and in the mood for good sushi, I would definitely recommend but just don't come expecting a lot of ambience.

Was dying for sushi but in an area without many food options that were not part of large, mediocre, chains. Went to Ichi-Riki with some friends and was incredibly pleasantly surprised. Prices were low, not only for London, but overall for sushi, which allowed us to keep ordering. Took awhile to place our initial order but then the food came quickly and service was fine. All of the sushi was excellent. The nigiri was prepared perfectly and the rolls, while not the crazy ones that you see at some places, were prepared well and tasted great. Even the miso soup was nice. I personally found the sushi a better option than the cooked foods and we kept ordering more sushi, until we integrally could not eat any more. Great option to indulge in sushi.

We love this small (22 seat) sushi house! Very fresh and just what we wanted after a long day of travel! High quality food and great service.

Hard to find the door - entrance and steps go down to the Restraunt.

A small, downstairs,very unassuming place off Victoria street south of the St James Underground station with very good fish.
The sushi was fresh, the Hamachi delightful and the service solid.
