I haven't been here enough times to experience anything negative. Today was pretty busy and staff were constantly moving. So much so that they couldn't possibly have time to clean properly. Tables are clean but have a sticky tacky feeling.
The system for ordering food is to remember your table number and to order from the staff behind the bar and then the waiter brings it to you.
Our server today was polite but very flustered, took him about 10 minutes to put the order through the till. But I think he was a trainee so that was probably why. There was a bit of a queue behind by the time he got there. But the food came quickly and was hot and tasted good. Wetherspoons does the best vegetarian sausages.

Yeah, this is a lively bar! Quite a big place with quite a lot of seating outside as well. I don't like the plastic beer glasses they start giving you after 2100 but thats life!
Plenty of decent beer on tap as per any Weatherspoons. Service can be a bit slow at busy times but they are always friendly. It's a good place to start a night out if you don't want to break the bank and the food is good too. It does lack a bit of atmosphere when theres not many in, but I like it all the same.
Like all Weatherspoons you get the curry night and chinese night etc. where you get a meal and pint for something silly like less than a fiver!
This pub is located at the end of Festival Place (shopping centre) where the restaurants and the cinema are so its always lively in the evening.

Lots of fun to be had here! Love the pitchers of cocktails, good value and yummy! Friendly staff and even though it gets really busy at the bar they do serve you as quick as they can! Not much seating so not good if you are looking for a quiet drink, but great as a warm up at the weekend! Prepare to queue to get in if you're not there early! The doormen are ok here, but don't like it when you accidentally pour drinks over yourself!!! There is a dance floor, but i get confused when i watch the tv screens showing music videos as they never tie up with the music being played Food is good and served quickly!

Nice cosy pub situated near the shopping centre in Basingstoke. The food is nice and tasty and the staff are friendly. Overall a good pub to visit for an afternoon or evening drink with friends or family.

Sell a wide range of food, and also have offers on standard menu items if you buy 2 from a selected menu.


A very busy bar weekend nights with long wait and over crowed around the bar area .
