This was a fun way to spend a little time. As far as a wax museum, it is similar to other ones I have seen in other cities. Ok option if you have time but if you have limited time in Amsterdam...skip it.

This is the closest I'll get to most of the celebrities.
Took my favored poses next to the late princess Di, The classiest princess that ever lived. Had to take a picture with the Mona Lisa in the frame.
It's definitely a fun place to spend on a wet and rainy and cold day. It's definitely amusing to see the detail that went into all these wax statues of these famous celebrities; be it a princess, cyclist, singers, actors, Pope, artist, ex-president's or a famous painted portrait subject.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 16 jul 2019
I can honestly say that, while it wasn't terrible, I wouldn't have come here had entrance not been free with our purchase of another tour.
Is it a tourist trap? Yes! Is it exactly like every other wax museum? Yes! Does it meet the must see list for Amsterdam? No... definitely a hard no. A hodge podge of people, few of which fit in with the location. There are costume pieces to wear when posing and, of course, more pictures to buy, a sure sign to retreat.
I would not go back, even with the free ticket, unless I had someone with me that HAD to go, in which case I could endure it and perhaps humor them with picture posing.
Kids around us seemed to enjoy it and there were a lot of interactive stations. I simply prefer the architecture and history of Amsterdam over cheesy gimmicks.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Anton K.Morris County, Estados Unidos28677437520 jun 2020
The Adult ticket (16+ years old) at the door is 22.50 Euros, online it's 19.50 Euros. If you go after 3 pm you get an additional 2 Euro discount making the total cost 17.50 Euros. If you are between the ages of 5-15 it is 18.50 Euros at the door, 15.50 online and after 3 pm 13.50 Euros. Those 0-4 are free. After 3 pm is a good option because you can see the wax figures and take all your pictures in about an hour. Closing times vary according to the season but no closing is before 6 pm. Tickets purchased online can be used up to 2 months and including the day of purchase. You can print tickets or show your ticket on your mobile device. Payment by credit card is a convenience. Payment in Euros or US dollars is acceptable. Buying online puts you on the fast track and allows you to avoid long queues which occur at certain times usually 11:30-15:30 during the months of July and August.
They allow only two wheelchairs at a time in the venue because of fire codes. Battery operated electric wheelchairs or scooters are not suitable for the venue. It's about a 10 minute walk from the Amsterdam Central Station and there are trams 1,2,5 and 17 which will take you there.
I liked the fact that you can touch the wax figures. You can photograph any place except the reception area. Most figures were recognizable like Johnny Depp, Dali, Lady Gaga and David Beckham. I did not recognize Princess Maxima and other Dutch royalty. You can not bring in large handbags and there iare no locker facilities.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Cuong L.Cordova, Estados Unidos3457913 may 2018
This is a fun place to stop by and see celebrities who you'll never meet in most cases. Most of the figures are very realistic while others were not that close such as Taylor Swift. It was fun to go and take pictures.
There were other interactive experiences that they provide at each station so definitely stop by and check this out at least once. Some times when you go, you question who's real or fake! LolHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Liran B.Fort Lauderdale, Estados Unidos3662031 jul 2018

Overall was a fun way to spend an hour. A place you gotta visit due to the hype. The quality and likeness was eerily accurate! The number of wax figures displayed was a bit less than I expected, but over still a fun experience. There were a lot of interactive elements as well.

Enjoyed our time in the museum, but it felt really small. Didn't take us more than 40 mins to go from start to finish.

This was really good to see but not the best Madame Tussaud's i have seen. The figures were really good and experience was entertaining. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Prices was reasonable.
