This hospital was once a private military hospital and stands on Queens land. It was renovated and built up about 7 years ago when it was opened by the Queen. It replaced the old delapidated Greenwich hospital and now serves a wider community encompassing Greenwich, Lewisham, Woolwich and even furthur afield. Like all hospitals it suffers from budget problems but the staff themselves I have always found to be friendly and knowledgeable. There's a free buggy service from 9.30am to 4pm which will take those less able to walk around the hospital for free. Parking is only free for disabled and there's not a lot of parking so it's better to go by public transport.

My little nephew was in hospital for a week or so. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The fact they were extremely friendly was a bonus.

Queen Elizabeth opened in 2001, replacing the Greenwich District Hospital that was closed earlier in the year. I have used their clinical services a number of times. This year I was admitted as a surgical patient and I was impressed with the quality of care I received from both medical and non-medical staff right from the time I was admitted up until the time I was discharged. They kept me well informed about my procedure and the post and pre operation care was excellent. I am very grateful to all the staff that treated and cared for me.

I have always found the staff at the queen elizabeth to be very professional- the type you can talk to easily. the hospital itself is very clean and moder with plenty of space. the site itself is VERY big, so as you would expect, they have very clear signd throughout. i last went there for a scan, and didn't have to wait long at all- and there is a good cafe there, albeit not cheap, but all the same, still very good

I have found this to generally offer good service. The staff on the whole tend tobe very personablealthough there are a few things to note. Firstly, the telephone system can be a bit of a challange especially since the link with St Marys hospital - getting through to the right department has been a bit of a challange at times. Car parking here is best described as very difficult. There is very limited space indeed and you must allow a very long drive many times around the car park before finding a space. Therefore dont leave it too fine before your appointment! Small cafe is ok and cash machine and shop.

I have been in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, I can say their A&E works too slow, no matter if you are in pain or not, you have to wait for a long long time. If you ask them you can not bear anymore the answer is always simple " go to reception and get some Paracetemol ! you have to wait. I can not see the point why it is A&E if you have to wait that much.

a view from a girl thats dad works for them, the staff are friedly, when I had my daughter there I had a few nice staff around me, one of wich went off duty when I really needed her and I ended up with a very unsupportive midwife, sosngraphers yes they see ultra scans all the time but when your pregant expecting 1st ever baby they all lets get on with it we have back pile of people, the day staff in SBCU are absolutly lovely, the night staff well I am not happy with there professionalism ! rude is not the word and left me seething to hurt one of them.
