Strutton Ground Market is a small street market held on weekdays near the Victoria section of London. The market is named for the narrow cobblestone street that it is located on. It is one of the most centrally located street markets in London. The market mainly caters for local residents and the office population in the immediate Victoria Street area, selling food, groceries, books and clothing, but is becoming increasingly popular with tourists.

My wife and I visited the Strutton Ground Market while we were on a trip to London in April 2019. We had just visited Westminster Abbey down the street, and my wife told me about a great street market that we could stop at for lunch. She had studied abroad in London and knew her way around the city pretty well. There were so many delicious-sounding food vendors that we had trouble picking. I decided to order from a Middle Eastern food vender called Falafel Zaki Zaki. I ordered "The Whole Shebang Wrap" which was stuffed with falafel, eggplant (aubergine), salad, hot peppers, pickled vegetables and white sauce. Just as I was about to take a picture of the delicious wrap, the vendor posed for the shot and had me cracking up. That wrap was so good!! My wife found a cool Indian street food vendor and ordered some Samosas and a side of Chicken with Rice. We ended up sharing all of our food and were very happy with our choices. We'll definitely stop again on our next trip to London.

For this area , a street food place has is really a great variety for what you pay for. I like the mixture of shops and stalls to give you a very wide choice of options as well as , coffee and 2 shops one of them is selling dresses and the other one is selling shoes and slippers

A great place to grab a quick lunch during the week - they've got everything.

There are places for sandwiches/baguettes with several independent places alongside big brands like Greggs and Subway.

The main attraction, however, is the numerous food stalls that are there during the week. My favourites are the Mexican (the best burritos I've ever tasted, reflected in the long queues daily) and the falafel wraps.

Judging by lines, the chicken stall also gets a roaring trade.

Fantastic little lunch market with huge variety in lunch options and in price ranges. Three shops on the same side of the street all sell baguette sandwiches with a range of fillings for about £2 or £3 max. A fish and chip shop and pizza place also add some variety on that side of the street (the cheaper side) and a new, upscale place on the other side sells beautiful quiches, salads, sandwiches, and desserts! In the middle of this pedestrian only street market, vendors cook up big vats of delicious-smelling food, although they are a bit more expensive. This is a great place for everyone to find tasty and filling lunches, either on a budget or those willing to spend a bit more!. Being just off Victoria Street, this market is crowded at lunchtime so be prepared for long queues between 1 and 2pm.

There isn't really any bad choices at Strutton Ground - it's changed beyond belief following the street food revolution and is now a bit of a foodie heaven.

There's the usual shops such as an Eat and the obligatory supermarket, but there is also a decent hardware shop just around the corner and a quality Oxfam book shop.

Now for the food - there's stands and shops in abundance. My favourites include the Thai shop and the burrito stall but I also quite like the French stand with its daily changing menu. I also hear that the coffee stall serves a decent cup, and there's yet more food available from the Indian stand (you must try the mixed kebab - so tasty) as well as a falafel place and a Moroccan stall. So much choice!!

What can I say? Amazing range of choices both in the outdoor market and in the actual shops, all of which I've tried so far have been good. The market has a nice buzzing feel to it weekday lunchtimes thanks to local office workers. Give it a try if you're in the area whilst the market is underway.

A small street market in Westminster primarily serving the local office workers trade but also very popular with local residents, of which I am one.

Excellent value for money! There are 2 fruit and veg stalls (great characters working on these stalls), a florist stall, a hardware/electricals stall, the regular guy who sells books, children's books and diaries, a regular well dressed lady who sells office and casual wear (she wears what she sells and she looks good) at down to earth prices, a young couple who run a hats, scarves and accessories stall etc etc. Some stalls are long term features and sometimes there are guest ones.

Since last year or so there is a hot food stall called Madame Gaultier (regular-ish) selling continental style hot dishes for lunch. A pasta dish or potato gratin dish here or there. I go there for my fix of celeri remoulade and grated carrots salad. Towards the end of last year a Jamaican couple have started selling West Indian dishes like Jerk Chicken and rice and peas which is great.

Well worth visiting if you are in the area. The whole street is cobbled (i.e. not tarmac covered) and has character.

The best place to go in Victoria for lunch. Home to a contender for London's best burrito (Santana) as well as a place selling rotisserie chicken, falafel, tandoori wraps...etc, all amazing. Most lunches cost around £6 which isn't cheap but it's a lot less than lots of the new novelty street markets hat have appeared all over the place. Cash only but there are a number of cash machines near by (although not on Strutton Ground itself)
