The Banc

I feel a little harsh by giving this a 2 star, but I think it's worthy for the food we got today.

We ordered a couple of starters to share, the prawns and halloumi which the cheeses could of been grilled a little more so that it's more crispy on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside.

Next up I choose the cheeseburger and my friend had the T bone steak.. I must say I was jealous of their meal as my burger was a tad over cook and the fries wasnt as crispy as I expected. The coleslaw was good, but it was an good portion that I just couldn't finish.

However the dessert display look really appetising and I went for the chocolate fondant and the apple tart. I must say give me dessert any day!

The decor of the place is lovely and the vibes are very East London hipster style, but I don't think I will be rushing back in a hurry..

First time going to The Banc. Was recommended by my colleague.

We were given a complimentary starter (bread with a dip) - that was nice. We ordered the calamari, when it came it looked amazing but tasted on point and delish. I've had calamari in different restaurants I would say this is one of my top places to get it.

Anyways, we ordered the Grilled salmon, the Seabass fillet and Cordon Bleu breaded chicken. Dessert was a chocolate fondant with vanilla icecream. Everything was scrumptious.

I would say friendly service, big portions (wasn't expecting it), lovely surroundings. Hygiene wise, clean.

Great ambiance and buzzing place to eat. Went for the Banc burger with the hand cut chips. The gourmet burger was perfect size, didnt make me feel like my stomach would explode. Chips were crispy and soft on the inside, exactly how I love them. If you want to go and check this place, make sure you reserve a table as it's really busy during peak hours and so you may have to wait for a table if you don't!! Staff were friendly and did ask if everything was fine whilst we were munching. Although by the time we finished eating it did seem like they were eager for us to leave, but I guess that's because they were mad busy.. I didn't mind that overall, service overall was great!

I really liked this place. Very reasonable prices and good food. The music was a bit loud but the staff were open to turning it down as we were the only customers in the restaurant. Apparently the roof terrace is also fun...

My main was lovely as I've said, but my friends steak wasn't cooked medium, hence the 3 stars. I would go back as it's a good option close to my office.

I was really pleased to see this newish place when I moved back to north London temporarily. It makes a nice change in the Seven Sisters area to see a restaurant which looks sleek, clean and modern.

The decor is great and there are phrases on the walls which make it fun and modern. It actually looks a little classy too. The staff are attentive and friendly so all in all first impressions were very good.

Sadly, I felt like the food let it down. It's quite pricey for the quality and there are much cheaper restaurants in the area with better food in my opinion.

I had the lamb burger and it was dry and bland. I was desperate to like this place but I didn't particularly enjoy my burger. The other people I was with had the mixed grill (a little over cooked) and fish (there was a tonne of mash potato but not much fish, although apparently the fish was good).

This place could be fantastic but it needs a bit of work on the food. The actual restaurant and staff were great so I'll go back sometime to give the food another chance.

Use to go here a lot, recently coming less. It has started to slack. Use to be a nice spot where I was able to have a smoke and drink comfortably with my friends. Now it's almost trying to be like a club.

Everything. Simply, everything is perfect about this place. Nestled in a not so obvious part of London, it provides fabulous burgers and steaks and an ideal private shisha are downstairs with... you guessed it... PAAN flavour shisha!! Oh happy days! It's well priced and I wish it was closer to me but damn it I will travel there to go through it all again - takes reservations too and lovely staff with a kitchen you can watch to boot!

Fab local restaurant with excellent service! Been coming here since I moved to Tottenham 3 years ago. The owners take special care of you each time you dine. My favorite is there chicken Parmesan. Highly recommend!

Really good food. I love the mixed grilled and also the salmon.presentation is really nice to with respect to the food.

Absolutely love this place! We filmed a scene of a movie in ere and whilst I was here I kept seeing yummy dishes goin past so made sure I came back.
I went with three friends and we all enjoyed our dishes. I as per usual had the burger, which was incredible. Cooked perfectly and somehow the actually burger had like whole grain mustard seeds mixed in which made it taste insanely good!
My partner had a fish dish which was cooked perfectly and was so delicious. Almost made me have an envy moment. We had just come back from a trip tithe states so had got used to good sized portions and we were very satisfied after the meal.
The staff were really nice. The waiter did tend to come round very frequently to fill water and clean plates which I find too much, nobody else did bit i always feel i have to stop talking and make sure they are acknowledged and thanked. But after reading the review previously I can imagine they didn't want to make people feel abandoned or risk another person writing like that. Personally I can't see how that happened as the owners were very present when we were there and came and checked on our satisfaction.
