Well, a lot of people moan about Wetherspoons pubs but for a bit of daytime drinking and cheap food action, you can't beat them! You know your going to get a few dodgy looking people nursing their pints and reading the racing post but I quite like that.

I find the food fine in this place, go for something like a lasagne and chips, its not gourmet but if you're a bit brassic, its perfect.

Situated in the High Street this pub caters for and attracts most members of the public. Early a.m. will see early starters out for their daily drink, lunchtime brings in the shoppers, office and retail staff.and eveing gets the nightowls" going!! As Weatherspoons go, it's ok and inexpensive enough but not really a regular place to eat out. Probably the best thing about JD's is the standard of their toilets which I have always found to be high.
Parking nearby is free for 2 hours provided you get a permit from local participating shops.

It's full of local pondlife and you want to wipe your feet on the way out!

Fine if you don't mind mixing with all the old alchies and eating ping ping rubbish!

A typical Wetherspoons pub, huge and not particularly interesting. Only stopped in because I was starving and it was convenient. Oddly, there appeared to be several groups of scantily clad young ladies in there, looking like they were ready for a night out. I guess it's a good place to start the night (though I seriously doubt it considering the rest of the clientele).

good old wetherspoons pub serving cheap food and most of it good value and tasty. offers of 241 which is great. ok atmosphere if you ignore the regular beer drinkers!
