The Wheatsheaf Hotel

Called in here at a friends recommendation and was not disappointed. The food is excellent, The steak & ale pie served with huge home made chips & veg and is proper, fresh, home cooked food. This is a welcome change to the pre prepared crap that you get in the big pub chains.


Another big advantage is that kids are more than welcome in the restaurant area.


If your looking for good quality food and a good pint as well you won't go far wrong here.

Been meny time's and its great, home cooked food which is hot and freshly made it cant get better. They do a amazing sunday dinner coming in two sizes.
Service has always been friendly and on point too and they always try to go above themselves to help.. my friend cant have gluten so they try to accomodate.
It can get busy so booking for an evening is recommended and they do balloons for birthdays for the table.

Very nice pub that serves good selection of ales at 'competitive' prices. The place is separated in2 a main pub & restaurant & each part has individual rooms 2 house different customer types ranging from regulars & clocked off tradesmen to families & casual visitors of all ages. Nice atmos & worth watching the match on the big screen. The greens at the rear are a good place 2 sit & drink when the weather is warm & sunny.
