Kurt Geiger bags for 99 GBP, yes please!!!! I'm very very happy. We picked up some travel needs here, but the purse made me exceedingly happy. I plan to stop in each time I'm in the UK.

Just like our TJ Maxx in America. I found some lovely gifts to take back to our family and friends. If you are looking for updated style, decor or fashion, it is the place to go!

12/08/2018: I have shopped TJ MAXX for decades while residing in USA; HOWEVER, I never knew there was a TK MAXX in existence somewhere globally on the Planet . . . My curiosity, once again, was highly piqued so, while researching via the Internet, I discovered Bus #40-City Of London Bus stops just a few feet before TK Maxx . . . Awesomely cool, right? Right.
As always, I discovered I needed something I inanely forgot packing in my luggage . . . This trip, I forgot packing a couple pairs of thermal tights: My legs have been freezing cold so, purchasing thermal tights have become an imperative, dire necessity. In addition, I also realized I forgot packing a bra-WHERE WAS MY BRAIN WHILE I WAS PACKING?
Surely, I must have been in a Zombie state just packing the important, pertinent, cold-weather wardrobe but forgetting packing my essential unmentionables~DOH! Thank Abba Father for having TK MAXX conducting their retail business within walking distance from Monument Station and Bus #40's bus stop just a few feet away from TK MAXX in London for so many beneficial reasons.
Cheers!

It's fine.
Like all London shopping I've experienced, it's cramped. It doesn't first appear to be so, but then you start trying to peruse some clothing or shoes or candles or whatever and realize that only one person can look at something at once, there is not enough room for 2 people in any aisle, so you will constantly be moving around people, smashing yourself into racks of clothes or tripping upon shoes. It's smaller than it looks and its just annoying, so I rarely spend a lot of time here.
I am a fan of TJ Maxx in the States and obviously this is under the same umbrella, but I don't think quite as good. Much less name brands. That's the whole point of the Maxx!
Also the layout of this store is bonkers. You walk in and there's stairs, then from there are more stairs to get down to the men's section. I know not a lot of City shoppers are rolling with a buggy, but on this particular weekend I was and it was flat out obnoxious. There is a lift somewhere but it also weirdly located and not that helpful as it doesn't take you all the way to the street level exit. What's the point, lift!?
I had a few returns to make from an online order and it was handled very efficiently. Overall the staff I've come in contact with has been very friendly and helpful, so they have that figured out for sure. I guess they can't help that whomever planned the space failed space planning 101.
Good for: work wear, activewear, shoes. No kids section.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Dominique L.Londres, Reino Unido8942222914 oct 2010Primera reseña
Fine, I'll admit it. I got up early this morning so that I could be among the first 500 through the doors of the newly-opened TK Maxx on Gracechurch Street just so I could get my hands on the £10 gift card the store was giving away. As you may be able to tell from my TK Maxx - Charing Cross Road store review, I'm quite the fan of this sort-of outlet store, having developed a mild addiction to it of late.
Anyway, while in the queue of people waiting for the store to open, the lovely TK Maxx staff came around with free small cups of smoothies. Nice one! The doors opened promptly at 7.30 am, and we streamed in. The gift card giving process went incredibly smoothly, and, against my better instincts given that I had to get to work, I decided to wander around the store just to see if there was anything nice I really really wanted to buy before getting into the office.
I'm delighted to report that this store has the same Gold Label section which is the first place I visit in any TK Maxx store. When I looked, there were quite a few D&G and Versace pieces, as well as a couple of Puccis and Missonis. The hosiery section was pretty good too, carrying quite a few Aristoc Bodytoning pieces in sensible colours and sizes. The handbag section was fairly large, though I didn't linger there, and there were definitely quite a few clothing racks too including a couple of Mod Box racks, whatever that means!
As part of the opening, there was an in-store DJ and free shoe shines were given away. Not quite what I expected for a store opening right smack in the middle of the City, but, well, what a way to start off a morning!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rebecca C.Chicago, Estados Unidos342709725 mar 2016
Because of the TJ Maxx correlation in Chicago and all over the States, I wanted to see London's version. Much like TJ Maxx in the States, it's a coin flip whether you're there on a good day or not. A lot of things about this store reminded me of the Chicago cousin, but in some ways, with brighter merchandise. Quality appears to be about the same. Nothing great, nothing awful. It's just there doing what I suppose the Maxx is supposed to do. I couldn't find anything that was spectacular or desirable enough to drag home, so I didn't purchase anything here, unlike my friends who found some sharp housewares, scarves and shoes.

A new TK Maxx in The City, marvelous! I like TK Maxx, you can always get something nice at a sensible price. As with every other TK Maxx the formula is, good labels at lower prices, you just have to ferret about for your size a little more and what's in stock is what's on display. This one doesn't have a HomeSense department so you won't be buying your pots and pans here, but if you need a warmer coat or whatever this is your destination.

Rude staff, not helpful. They did not talk to me even I was literally next to them. I was going to pay but I didn't know that I was at the wrong place, the staff only talked to each other and ignored me.
