Tracy De Soto, MFT

I went to her a several years ago as I was having a hard time with my then teenage son, all the while this was causing problems with my marriage and family... after a few sessions, she told me I was complaining too much about my son and husband and I "should go out with my girlfriends to vent, that's what they're there for" WOMP WOMP !

Spent first session with her emphasizing paperwork and insurance stuff and how much it's going to cost. Unavoidable I guess.
Next session she asks me to explain specifically what I am upset about. I start talking but I guess my answers aren't good enough. Cause she keeps cutting me off and telling me to be more specific. So I try harder and I guess now she's telling me I'm off topic. I'll spare you the details but basically she won't let me get more than 3 words out at a time before cutting me off and I get frustrated. Then she tells me to stop being so triggered.
Anyway we didn't go back to her. Really unprofessional behavior, horrible listening skills. Likes the sounds of her own voice I think.

Don't waste your time with this counselor for you, your family or friends. You'll be bombarded with paperwork that is never disclosed when you call to make an appointment. If you try to fill out paper work at her office, it's time deducted from your session. Moreover, beware of her $100 cancellation fees.

With limited qualifications based on her certifications, I'm not sure why anyone would check her out if it wasn't for health insurance directories. She isn't even listed as a licensed psychologist. It's no wonder why she only has 1 review. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend her to anyone or even trying to call her.

She was recommended to me by a friend, however, after making several attempts at contacting her to schedule a consultation (via email and telephone call) she was unresponsive and I am now searching for another provider. I feel a lack of response to an inquiry is unprofessional.

Nope, don't waste your time. I went in for some help with anxiety. She wasn't helpful at all and asks questions like "what do you think will help with that?" & "what can you do to make yourself feel better" and my reply was "Clearly I don't know if I'm here looking for help? What do YOU suggest for me? I'm here seeking YOUR counsel?" If you're looking for someone who will actually give you professional advice and an opinion with suggestions, DO NOT come looking here. You're better off solving your own problems. She does have a very cute office though, so I'll give her a star for that.

I have known Tracy for almost 10 years. I admire her as a therapist because of her brilliance, enthusiasm and creativity. She genuinely cares about her clients and thinks outside of the box. When it comes to working with children she excels in use of expressive art therapy. You are in good hands if you chose to work with Tracy to work through your problems or issues, or to work on a goal. She is awesome!

I had seen Tracy for almost 18 months. At first she helped me and got me to open up and realize my feelings. I went through a horrible breakup of my marriage of 13 years. After about 18 months out of the clear blue she decided to drop me as a client when I needed her the most. I had gone through open heart surgery and it is a known fact that depression follows a serious operation like that. She was totally disappointing and I felt blindsided. I wouldn't trust her.
