Traube

We have been in the Traube for a lunch and I have to say it was a very pleasant surprise. During the week they offer a 16 EUR quick lunch option with 4 starters and 4 mains to choose from. Our food was excellent and the staff was very nice. They cook modern European cuisine, with local influences. I will certainly go back there. For dinner they offer a bit more elaborated menu which also seems extremely worth checking out.

I went there last night - a warm summer night - with two friends. Because it was so hot, we just ate appetizers, and enjoyed a few glasses of fantastic elderflower/prosecco - and ended the evening off with a huge portion of creme brulée.


The waiters speak excellent English. Good to know.
The Menu's were delivered in English to my guests, and in German for myself - without us even having to ask.


But apart from us there was only one other table being served in the Restaurant.


Excellent Food.
Excellent Service.


Great, relaxed atmosphere. Food was not too pricey, but it was definately worth what we ate.


This will become one of my favourites in Berlin!

The quality of the food here is very high as is the service. The menu is primarily made up of Germanic dishes, but artfully prepared and served. The business lunch specials are a good deal. I find the dining room a little boring but pleasant.

We went here last night it's just off Friedrichstr. Decided to go for the 2 Jahre Traube Jubiläumsmenü which is a gourmet set menu/taster menu with 5 courses. The food was fantastic and well presented. Only comment is that the flavour in some dishes was too overpowering for my liking but I guess that's like most restaurants in Germany ;-) The service was superb attentive yet not over the top. The decor is simple yet classy. Highly recommended!

Swayed by the many five-star reviews I saw on various review sites, I set into Traube with high hopes. They were not completely dashed but I must say the experience wasn't what I hoped. The food was certainly delicious, but the waitstaff seemed a bit off that night. Not sure if it was that it was particularly busy (I didn't think so) but minus the waitstaff attitude (and the bill but then again, paying for ambiance and quality of food), I would say I would go again.

Food was tasty, took a bit long before we got it, but we were a big table, waiter was professional but not overly charming. The food is the big catch, but rest, interior, music, service, etc. isn't on the same level, and keeping in mind the option Berlin offers there are better choices around. Cheers
