While looking for lunch before visiting the Herculaneum historical site, we found this restaurant.

We quickly got an overview of the menu by the host (which was written on a board, which makes me think everything is freshly made). While receiving the overview, we didn't know what to choose: everything sounded exquisite and delicious.

We had a mix of a starter and a "primo piatto" and two "secondi" to finish.
Every dish was nicely presented and equally tasty as we imagined during the menu overview.

Needless to say we were very happy to have found this place!

Nice restaurant. Service is not so smily. Food is good and fairly cheap (gnocchi with sea fruits are great). No cover is charged. Less than 10 minutes walking from the Ercolanum ruins.

Wow. The real deal in an off the tourist track local dining experience. Attentive service. Good wine. And amazing food. A world away from the tourist traps on the road from the train station to Herculaneum. Black rice with raw scampi! Artichoke salad! Molten chocolate dessert!
