Today, I had an ordered delivery of groceries from Waitrose Marylebone, and I must say, the staff member who packed my bag deserves all the praise. They truly brightened my day! The order arrived in excellent condition, with careful packing and double paper bagging to ensure nothing was damaged, despite its weight. Even the damp items were thoughtfully placed in thin plastic bags.
What touched me the most was finding a heartwarming message written on the paper bag: "Thank you for shopping at Waitrose Marylebone (smiley face)." It's these little acts of kindness that make a huge difference!
I am incredibly satisfied with the service I received, and I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff member at Waitrose Marylebone responsible for my order. Thank you so much! (smiley face & hug)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 13 nov 2021
Great store to pick up fresh organic stuff. They also have a great variety of cheese and cold cuts. Not much of a difference from American stores. Has the same self checkout but the grocery bags are way better than our ten cent flimsy ones. We manage to get most of our daily necessities here and M&S, so all in all a great and convenient place to spend £.

Waitrose on Edgware Road is a decent sized supermarket in a rather central London, Marleybone location. It was my first visit to the store since it now advertises under the name "Waitrose & Partners" but it still is pretty much the same store nonetheless (no change in ownership etc, hence no need for a new listing on Yelp)
The store wasn't huge, but it still had a nice range of essentials and maybe slightly more, it was perhaps slightly larger than what one would expect from an average Tesco Express or Little Waitrose, yet of course smaller than your average warehouse-style supermarkets, yet this is common due to being in a central location in London.
It has a few counters including for sushi, and a fairly typical range of most products. Prices in most areas weren't bad.
The staff members could have been more helpful and outgoing, perhaps more evenly distributed rather than congregating in one specific area of the store near the checkouts.
I did only notice one drinks machine, loyalty card holders do get a free drink upon making a purchase which is a cool offer, but this is limited to one per day regardless of how many times (or branches) you visit.
Not a bad spot to pick up essentials and more in a decent location.

Writing from an American perspective, here, we lodged at a flat about a mile away, and I made the trek to this store twice during our stay. Why? The basics: solid fruit and veggie selection (in October, I managed to find strawberries, raspberries and nectarines), fresh eggs, a cheese department fit for the Queen, plenty of deli meats, breakfast cereals, this is a sizable store. We kept our fridge stocked and saved a lot on meals out.
The other reason you may find yourself wandering these aisles: booze. Every block of London offers a convenience store of some kind, with the anticipated sad selection of national brand beer, and overpriced lame-o wine. Waitrose managed to serve up some imports which, while nothing special, kept me interested. There was a solid representation of liquors and cider, to boot.
Finally, quick note on self-checkout: the credit card machines didn't recognize either of my foreign cards, so bring cash or go to a staffed aisle, where actual human beings will gladly and politely go through the hassle of typing in your info.Helpful 13Thanks 0Love this 12Oh no 0 - Jonathan E.Nueva Orleans, Estados Unidos4761192181415 dic 2012
This is the Lindsay Lohan of markets. It usually looks good and has some nice attributes but now and then the train jumps the track. Sometimes it's the final ingredient in a dish you're ready to make (and where they have everything else).
Or sometimes they are just flat out missing a main ingredient, like coca cola, green onions or bourbon. I've also stood in line when they've decided to shut down the line right in front of me, even though I've been standing there for quite some time.
On the flip side, there's not much better in the area when it comes to larger markets. And they do have some higher end meats, seafoods and cheeses, plus a decent wine collection. It's "almost" a really good market.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Eleonora Z.Florencia, Italia21515621917 abr 2016
I am not a huge fan of this neighborhood but when I was living in Baker Street this supermarket was pretty close.
I liked it even the prices are exaggerated sometimes.
You can find a lot of things, starting from fruits and vegetables until every kind of cereals.
You can also find some useful tools for the kitchen and for the house.
If you live near by and you want to spend many money in your food this is the place.
Sometimes I used their online shopping that is pretty comfortable and liable.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Usuario Qype (akeel…)Londres, Reino Unido62114969 feb 2010
Shopping at Waitrose is expensive, but it's my nearest major supermarket, so when I can't get what I need at the local Tesco Express, I go to Waitrose. I only wish I could afford to shop there all the time!
The food is of excellent quality and they have an impressive variety too. It's never crowded and the staff are friendly and helpful. They also have a coffee bar near the front of the store and though I've never bought anything from there myself, I have to say the food always look tempting and the coffee smells great.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - J P.Londres, Reino Unido2738428921 ene 2009Primera reseña
I now understand why people love Waitrose. This place has great food and a level of service that can only come from a company with great spirit. Evidently the way that the company gives all it's profits to the staff and has a great ethos really works !
This store is brand new as it has replaced a Woolworths that has shut down. Ironically it has probably employed more people than the Woolworths did ?
It is not cheap and personally I can only afford to go there for the odd thing, but I am very happy when I do and it is good value for the great food they sell.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lenza M.Seattle, Estados Unidos8515121411 mar 2013
The store is clean, well designed, and has a great selection of items. Despite being quite busy the store did not feel cramped. The fruit was inexpensive and fresh. They have a cool little self-scan system for speeding up the checkout process. I have not used it, but maybe I should since there was a bit of a wait even in the "baskets only" queue.
