My wife and kids had a great time at this diner/grill tonight. We weren't sure what to expect, given that it is attached to a gas station and convenience store. But, when we walked in, we found a clean, friendly , and welcoming atmosphere. Although the diner could benefit from some wall decor, the homemade diner sign on the far wall and home-style tables in the middle make it a comfortable place to sit and enjoy your meal.

The menu itself is expansive and include a mix of tex-mex and american. Most (if not all) of the menu items are $6 or less and come with a side item (fries, onion rings, etc.). Nothing on the menu is complicated and all of our food was delivered to our table in less than 5 minutes. My wife had the grilled chicken sandwich and I had the Mesa Burger (a double cheeseburger). Both were great. The tortilla chips we ordered came with cheese sauce and two types of salsa. The hot salsa is very hot, so be prepared. For desert, we ordered the strawberry cheese cake and chocolate strawberry cake - both of which were made in house and were delicious. They also have soft-serve ice-cream, which my daughter loved - served in a waffle cone.

The service was both welcoming and inviting. We were checked on frequently and made to feel very comfortable. The chef and clerk (both co-owners and brothers) were great to talk to and showed a sincere interest in our opinions.

The only drawback from the place is it is connected to a convenience store. As a result, the diner would benefit from more wall decor and other "character" pieces to help separate it from the isles of candy and chips a few yards away.

Clint and his crew recently painted our aging deck. He stopped by our house and provided a quote for the deck on the same day I had called him. When we had confirmed his offer, his crew was at our house within a few days to powerwash, seal, and paint the deck. They removed all of the deck furniture and kept everything clean. There were no paint chips or other mess left on the ground and they even managed to avoid any damage to my nearby garden. In total, the paint job took about a week from quote to finish. This included a powerwash, sealant, calk for the cracks, primer for splotched areas, and two coats of paint. Overall, I'm very impressed.

Relaxed atmosphere; great selection of food whether you are interested in basic diner food or something a little more special. I had the turkey burger and my dad had the pork tenderloin special. Both were great. Would highly recommend the home made pies for dessert. Just be sure to verify which ones are actually home made. The prices are probably higher than you would expect for diner food, but I think it's well worth the additional quality in service and food.

The atmosphere is well suited for children and there is a yogurt place right next door. During our last visit, my daughter dropped her chicken tender and the waitress replaced it with no additional cost.
